There are 627 incorporated cities in Kansas. Cities in the State of Kansas are divided into three classes according to the population. There are large cities in Kansas as well as little townships and villages with few residents.

Third Class Cities (less than 5,000 people)

Third Class cities in Kansas have a population of less than 5,000 people. Linwood Kansas, De Soto Kansas, and Spring Hill Kansas are examples of third class cities in the state of KS.

Second Class Cities (2,000 - 25,000 people)

Second Class cities have a population of more than 2,000 but less than 25,000.

First Class Cities (15,000 or more people)

First Class cities have population of at least 15,000. Overland Park, Leawood, Olathe, and Kansas City Kansas are all examples of first class cities of Kansas.
